Terry is happy and willing to discuss all projects, including murals for home walls, garage doors, and other larger surfaces. She will work with you on creating a painting that is based on your own idea(s), or one inspired by some of her other pieces that you are particularly drawn to, or she can create something uniquely for you from her imagination. You may offer her photographs of things you love and she can work from that as well. For commissioned pieces, she does require creative freedom so that she can produce a work of art that is beautiful and original. Terry does her best to fully discuss projects with you beforehand so that there is clarity upfront, and will also check in during the process of creation. Her goal: for each client to be thrilled and satisfied with the one-of-a-kind work of art she has made especially for them. Pet Portraits For pet portraits, Terry will use your digital images or snapshots as inspiration. You may request the color scheme, subject matter, and other thematic symbols that have meaning for you. She does her best to incorporate moods and features that are important to you and your special pet(s). Many of the pet portraits on this site were custom-designed for clients for specific occasions. Clients may have a pet portrait commissioned for a birthday, wedding, family celebration, Valentine's Day, or another special event. A one-of-a-kind painting is a wonderful addition to any room in your home. Terry loves the creative process of working to capture your pet's essence and watching the portrait unfold. She has received rave reviews from satisfied customers who are thrilled to have the face of their dog, cat, or even box turtle on a wall of their home. Materials She paints on high-quality artist canvases in sizes starting at 9"x12". The most common dimensions are: 20"x24," 20"x30," 30"x30", 24"x36", and bigger (recommended for pieces destined for larger rooms or for portraits of larger or multiple pets). Price is dependent upon the size of canvas, and the subject(s) of the painting, and starts at $175. Shipping and Payment Terry will ship your painting to you anywhere in the 50 states in a secure package by US Postal Service. A minimum of two weeks work time is needed for a commissioned piece. Terry can send you a digital image of the painting in the beginning stages if you would like, for feedback purposes. A 50% deposit is due to begin a project; and the balance is paid at completion.
